Wanda Good

How long have you been a member? 
My first fitness class at EFC was about 15 years ago.  I was following my Zumba instructor, Despina Houck to her new location and then branched out to try some of the other fun classes EFC offered.

Robert Bender Sr
Attending EFC for 12 plus years. My motivation is my Health, competitive and meeting new people.  In my Spare time hobbies are bicycling, Archery, Hunting, Fishing, Hiking, yard work and spending time with my family. I would have to say my motivational quote is “Making excuses burns zero calories per hour” Unknown.

Rob Bender Jr
I have been a member since 2020 and my motivation is to feel better. In my spare time I ride my motorcycle, hunt and spend time with my grandchildren.  My fitness quote would be “ I can’t lift this, then grow stronger.: Anonymous

Angela Bender Kaley
I have been attending EFC for 20 plus years.  My motivation to workout is my health, physique and my 77-year-old father who makes daily exercise a priority.  Classes are fun and challenging! In my spare time I like to watercolor painting, reading, working out, and any outdoor activities. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My motivational quote is “Great thing come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses.” Kobe Bryant

John Robert Bender
Officially a member since 2021 but I have been going to classes since middle school.  My motivation is to look good for my wedding.  In my free time I paint and work on projects around the house.  My motivational quote is “Doing 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing.” Mike Hancock.​


What motivates you to come to the gym? 
It’s the supportive community that encourages members to try new fitness challenges.  I am doing more than I thought I was capable of achieving.  The instructors and members have stories of overcoming health issues and personal difficulties that inspire me to keep going both inside and outside of the gym.  Plus, the time goes by faster when you work out with others.  Lynn and Cheryl think of creative ways to make the workouts fun! 


What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I started to learn to play the ukulele about 2 years ago.  I also enjoy scrapbooking and card making, teaching 4 and 5 year olds at my church, volunteering with the costume crew at Marietta Theater, and trips to Alaska to visit my daughter and her family.

What is your favorite motivational/fitness quote? 
My favorite quote is “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first steps.
